At Newford Nursing Home, we understand that the journey towards exceptional care begins the moment you step through our doors.

Our commitment to providing a nurturing and welcoming environment starts with our Hospitality Reception, where you will experience a warm and friendly welcome that sets the tone for your stay with us.

As soon as you enter our double doors, you will find our much-loved Greeting Station here at the entrance of the home. This is where families and friends can help themselves to refreshments on their visits. This station is complete with a range of drinks, as well as a variety of home-made cakes or a pic 'n' mix - loved by the young and young-at-heart visitors alike!

As you venture further into the home, you will find our Activities' Station - a display unit with various compartments that are for shared use ~ for staff, service users and visitors. Each compartment of our Activity Station is filled with tactile objects for sensory stimulation; items ideal for reminiscence; books and quizzes to keep the mind occupied and so forth. We encourage you to help yourselves to items from this area and we promote your loved ones to access these facilities as much as they like.

Finally, our reception area is complete with a selection of booklets for your perusal, which aim to inform you about the way that we work at Newford, the team at Newford and what we feel that we do well. These are housed next to our Activities Board, which is updated weekly and which details the sessions which our Activity Supervisor has scheduled for the upcoming days.
